ECOS Institute for Education

The need for the continual education of managers and professional advanced training of operative employees is becoming stronger and stronger, especially in technically advanced and export-oriented companies. Market demands on the one hand, and competition on the other, demand new ideas and new knowledge from managers and other employees, which can only be acquired through organised and permanent education and advanced training.

Because of this the Institute for Education has been organised. Its mission is defined by basic tasks and is wholly in the function of the programme activities of the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina . The motivation to accept ideas, new knowledge and skills is becoming stronger each day, so that the dilemma “to educate oneself or not“ does not exist any more. Instead the question of “why, how and where to educate and professionally advance oneself?“ is asked. This is secured through an Institute that has a functioning and flexible organisation and staff structure, which adapts efficiently and capably to the continual changes in the fields of technique, technology, organisation, marketing and control, and, on this basis, organises adequate programmes of professional training and additional education for company managers and operative employees.

The main focus of the Institute is the definition and organisation of schools and global models (thematic fields) of additional education for company managers and professional advanced training for operative employees, because investment into the education of business people leading to productive work and their motivation to better the efficiency of the company becomes the main asset in its development and business dealings.

Within the structure of the Institute the following forms of education and advanced training exist: the School of Foreign Trade, the School of Quality, the School of Privatisation, the School of Small Business, the School of Functional Education, the ECDL School, the School of Rhetoric, the School of Business Protocol, the PHARE Centre for Education in Road Transport, as well as seminars for the specialisation in certain trade branches and activities.
